1) Installation and Setup
1.1 Connecting Your Deeper Device:
Note: Ensure network is functional before setting up a Deeper device. Depending on the network
setup, these are your options:
a. If your modem and router are standalone devices: find the cable that connects to
your modem and the router’s WAN port (generally the main internet line), unplug
it from the router’s WAN port, connect it to Deeper’s DCN port, then plug the
supplied ethernet cable to the other DCN port and connect it to the modem’s
WAN port. Deeper device should be connected between the router and modem.
b. If your router is integrated into the modem itself：an additional standalone router
will be needed; connect an ethernet cable from the modem’s LAN port to the DCN
port on Deeper device. Take another ethernet cable and connect from the
remaining DCN port to a WAN port on a standalone router. The standalone
router’s WiFi connections will now be secured by the Deeper device.
c. Traveling without a router（e.g. hotels）：Find an Ethernet port where you can
hook up an Ethernet cable to a DCN port on the Deeper device. Take another
Ethernet cable and connect it to an Ethernet port (instead of cable) on your
computer （an Ethernet adapter is needed for computer’s lacking an Ethernet
port）
2) Bootup
2.1 Device should be connected to the network 2 minutes post booting, else, diagnose by performing
the following:
2.1.1 Network inaccessible: Check if device is booting properly (steady orange LED and steady
green/flashing yellow LED for both DCN ports)
2.1.2 A LED light remains unlit: Replace the cable connected to that port. If issue persists, consult
Deeper’s technical support and arrange for professional diagnostics.
2.2 11.22.33.44 or 34.34.34.34 should display the following in your browser:
Default username：admin default password：admin (control panel after log in shown below)
If the control panel is not visible, then the Deeper device is incorrectly connected. Please check
section 1) for the proper way to connect a Deeper device.
2.3 You are now free to browse the world wide web without regional restrictions（establishing a
tunnel may take up to 20 minutes on a fresh boot; rebooting router may be required)
