I bought the Deeper Network Pico device when it was part of crowd funding campaign. I never managed to set it up correctly, but what I want, is pretty easy...at least on the paper.
I want my two Apple TV devices to dynamically route the traffic of a specific streaming service over North America. I don't want the crypto part, as I don't know how to manage tax declaration on these incomes.
So...what I have done, is:
- The Pico is connect to my router via Ethernet.
- The (main) router is providing Wifi and Internet connection.
- I have setup a Smart Rule, saying that the address of the streaming serivce (somethingmax.com) has to be routed via North America.
- In the Apple TV device settings, the router entry is pointing to the IP address of the Pico.
Currently, it's not working and I cannot say, how to tell...
...if the AppleTV is routing its traffic over the Pico.
...if the Pico pushes the AppleTV's traffic request through the tunnel.
Any hint how to get started, would be great.
