So I was scratching my head figuring out why my internet speed was so slow. My mind went to blaming the Nano but it just didn't make sense. My equipment is Gigabit capable, the nano is 500 Mbps and I have a 400Mbps service.
So why was I only getting speed tests of 90Mbps?
The answer is so stupid I stopped scratching my head and smacked it!
I never updated my cables. I looked closely at the cables and they were all CAT5 except for the one that came with the Nano. You know the RJ45 cables don't go bad. You just collect them over time and use them.
So I did one last update. I ordered all new Cat8 RJ45 cables. capable of 40 Gigbs speeds.
The big-box-stores only had up to Cat6 and a few Cat7 and would be sufficient, but I updated for the future.
Now I'm getting what I pay for from my internet service provider and the Nano is running very smooth too.
