SMART ROUTING NON-FUNCTIONAL

I just received my PICO. seems like a lot of people hare having this same issue: DPN MODE: SMART ROUTING = ALL DOMAIN CONFIGURATION ROUTINGS ARE NON FUNCTIONAL. My IP stays local everywhere. Ive read on another post that it was a DNS issue that is still unresolved... QUESTION IS: WHATS GOING ON??? CAN THE TEAM BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT THIS???? This is basically a USELESS product if i cant use SMART ROUTING! Any guidance anyone??? thanks

You are right. It's useless. I'm using IP Config list instead of Domain Config (you can find resource's IP with ping command, like "ping RESOURCE_DOMAIN_NAME" e.g. "ping linkedin.com"). It's working, but not convenient way.

So you’re saying that it only works if you “translate” domains into their IP addresses?

slipstream Yes. But unfortunately some services have dynamic IP, some have 2 redundant IPs. So, as I said, it's working, but not convenient way. I prefer Deeper Teem to solve the issue with Smart Route. At the moment they focused on Mining functions more than other like security and smart routing.

Smart route from earlier atom os firmware worked as it supposed to, am I correct in my remembering?

slipstream yes, on b98 version it was working. I don't know why it's a problem to "make it as it was"

So this issue is not just on mine, I just got my deeper mini and its using a private ip instead of public ip cause i have an all in one modem, I was wondering whether this has anything to do with smart routing.

Hi! I just get the PICO and with 1.1.14.rel the Smart Route List is not working 🙁

for smart route to work you have to add routes for domains that you use... If you don't know how, just use a full route.

xiaoxiao this page is not a reply to this thread. It is just an abstract from the user manual.
Thing is that the smart route does not work as advertised. also there is no smart if you have to configure every page or ip with a rule.
In the FAQ page is mode it says:

DPN Smart Route automatically distinguishes the region of requested network content and controls which tunnels should be used to access the content

this is is not happening, the device needs a rule for every page you need to go through DPN

xiaoxiao I'm sorry to say this is not a professional customer service, it does not even understand the question at all. Deeper Connect could do a better job rather than using BOT to humiliate the customers.

my luddite thought: why can't data transmit like thermodynamics, it just goes randomly through the ether with the least resistance from dvpn node to another dvpn node until it reaches its destination... or even divided data split apart through various routes and nodes until it reaches its destination.
