Deeper Mini not responding after power connect

HI, i just received Deeper Mini,
since im in Europe, the US power cord does not have sense and i have to bought replacement,
i bought this one power adapter:
Power adapter 20W/3A USB-c

it has power output 20W / 3A
and USB-C connector,

i tried also original Apple power adapter for iPad Pro (usb-c)

But when i connect the device, nothings happened, no lights on it, its just dead.

Can you tell me what should i do?
On the device is as well classic USB port, is that for charging as well?
Should i try that?

Hi Stepan, the Deeper Mini requires a 5V 2A power supply but some users have found a 5V 3A power supply to work as well. Typically, as long as the charger outputs the correct voltage and the amp limit is equal to or higher then it should not matter. However, if the chargers you are using are not outputting the correct voltage then that could be the reason the device is not powering on. Make sure the charger works with other devices as well. Also, the classic USB port is not for charging but rather to allow for future updates to the device that may enable the use of a USB WiFi adapter.

my OEM charger im trying to use has output 5V/3A

and original Apple charger has output as well 5V/3A

Both chargers are working with other devices with no problems,
When i connect them to the Deeper Mini... nothing is happening, no lights, nothing,
when i try to connect Deeper Mini between router and modem, router does not receive any connection,
device is dead 🙁

So, what should i do next?

No problem, sorry to hear you are having this issue. I saw that the power adapters stated their output to both be 5V/3A as well as several additional outputs. The chargers for USBC allow for multiple voltage levels and through communication with the device the charger picks the correct voltage to apply. However, it is possible that the charger is not outputting the correct voltage even though it should start at 5V/3A. The other possibility is the device has a manufacturing or shipping defect which can happen in rare cases. Therefore, there are two options that you have. First, I may try purchasing a USA to Europe plug adapter so you can use the original power adapter such as something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Orei-American-European-Adapters-Certified/dp/B0058EG0KC/. However, if the device still wont turn on then it could be defective, in which case you can get a replacement after consultation by emailing tech.support@deeper.network

Hi, i found a power source solution and it looks that everything is working fine...

just want to ask you a question about DPN Mode:

When i use DPN Smart Route - im getting nice connection speed, close or similar my broadband 500Mbit/s

But, when im checking my IP address at the online services, part of the IP checking pages gives me my real IP address (which is not OK i guess) and part of them US address (which is ok, because im in EU)
when i check my IP thru Incognite window - i always see my real IP address (which is not OK i guess)
when i set routing for the specific domain, for example disneyplus.com (which is not yet available in my country) and send it thru the tunnel in North america, it always recognise that im in EU and redirect me to my country page...(which is not OK i guess)

When i use DPN Full Route

and reroute all traffic thru North America, my speed drops to 5 Mbit/s with 299 ms ping

Can you please bring me some light to this?
Because i assumed, that with Deeper mini, my public IP will be always scrambled by DN

my Deeper Mini after one hour of functioning shuts down my network, i had to disconnect it and restart modem to get back online...

Do you have any suggestion what to do?
i cant afford to keep it connected as it is unstable ..

Hi, what is your firmware version? Your device may need to be updated to the latest version and that could fix some of the problems. I just need your device serial number in order to do so which can be found in the AtomOS interface. Then the device needs to remain plugged in. If the device keeps shutting down then we may need to coordinate as to when we can push the firmware update. In that case you could email tech.support@deeper.network and we can work out a time to update.

Hi, i turned it on again and find out, that i have latest firmware installed: version:1.1.0.c6.
My setup:
Mode: Smart
Tunnel: South America, East Asia, Southeast Asia, North America
( im in Czech republic, so i excluded my country and whole EU as well)

and when i check my IP address i get those results:

speedtest.dkm.cz: 89.176.35.143 (this is speedtest from my broadband provider - (its my real IP))
Google: 89.176.35.143 (thats IP of my modem acquired by hosting provider (its my real IP)
whatismyipaddress.com: 184.56.39.39 (North America)
expressvpn.com/what-is-my-ip: 184.56.39.39 (North America)
iplocation.net: 184.56.39.39 (North America)

I restarted the Deep Mini, (from the dashboard) after restart it wont recover, lights are blinking as they should, on my router i see upload activity, no download, it says that i have limited connection.
Im not able to login to Deep Mini.

I disconnected the Deeper Mini and rewired back to Modem - router configuration

No internet, router still shows limited connection
I have to restart router (im using Synology RT1900) - that does not helped at all
I have to unplug my router for a while - that does not help either
I have to unplug modem and after while turn it on again - that helps - im online again with my IP 89.176.35.143

Now im plugin Deeper mini back between modem and router

My router says that my gateway is 89.176.35.143 with limited connection - im offline
I cant connect to DeeperMini dashboard (on both IPs)

Unpluging Deeper mini, rewiring back to modem-router config - Limited connection remains
Restarting modem - im back online again

Do you have any suggestion what to do?

stp Might be a long shot, but I initially had issues like yours... it was my ethernet cable. Changed it and all is good.

If I follow your response correctly you have two main problems going on. The first is the device is not hiding your IP under certain situations and the other is your device is restarting without connection correct?

The first problem with your IP happened to some users due to a bug that was fixed in the next firmware version c7 so we can update your device again if it has not been updated already. Email tech.support@deeper.network if your firmware is not at c7 or higher.

The second problem can occur for several reasons. You may have tried this already but if not setup the device in front of your router as follows: Modem->Router->Mini->PC and see if this stabilizing the restarting. You have done a good amount of troubleshooting yourself so if the problem persists then contact support and they can help further diagnose the issue in case your device is defective.

thank you for your reply,
so, i did as you suggested,
my Mini is connected between Router and PC and i requested c7 firmware update by email,
i will keep it running to wait for the firmware update,
it slows my connection, so, hope it wont be too long 🙂

Then i will try to restart and setup again and will see if that helps,
will let you know..
