  • Severly degraded performance after 1.1.0.c6

After firmware version 1.1.0.c6 had been pushed to my device, as of last night, I lost tons of network performance. I went from 950mb/sec download and 40mb/sec upload to 3-6mb/sec download and 2-3mb/sec upload. What is the fix? What can be done to fix the situation beside wasting $300?

(The firmware fixes some known problems: abnormal tunnel establishment, excessive consumption of hardware resources caused by the system, network interface speed exceeding 500mbps transmission, etc.

    SpeedForceGN Ty the following to resolve the issue:

    DPN > TUNNEL > Add These

    North Europe - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
    East Asia - Japan
    East Asia - South Korea
    Southeast Asia - Singapore
    North America - United States

    If you are located in any of the above countries, then REMOVE IT

        JoJo I understand why you are recommending people remove the tunnel rule for their region as it increases throughput. However, I think you fail to recognize doing so defeats the whole point of having a device in place acting as a vpn. Yes if you are sending traffic to other regions it will then be tunneled but when you live somewhere like the US the majority of your traffic will be in the US. Not tunneling your traffic in that scenario makes this device fairly worthless. Yes you still get the benefit of layer 7 inspection for functions like blocked trackers/ads but the device should be able to deliver speeds as advertised via a tunnel. I am guessing the majority of folks have the device for confidentiality/anonymity purposes so recommending people disable the tunneling rule for their region could be a dangerous move if they don't understand the consequences.

            SpeedForceGN Yesterday everything was fine. This morning i cant get it to work anymore WTF is in this update? Did i just lost my investment ? Or this is a temporary problem, i got to say i am a bit frustrated this morning and i cant get any info from the Deeper Network.

              mod70 Have to agree with you mod70. and as far as speed goes, my device is on 110.c13, just automatically recently updated to that, and it's no better "speed wise" than your 110.c6. So if i delete all the tunnels from my region , then the speed thing is much worse, and i mean much much worse. The local region tunnels have a shockingly slow speed, and ping, but those tunnels from another region are far worse/slower than the local region. and apart from the super slow speed thing, if I put the device onto "smart route", my local ips's ip address is always on display for all the world to see.
              Not sure what can be done to resolve the problem - I've tried all suggestions I have come across, and even contacted deeper tech, but no joy so far, and if I disable the DPN, i get full isp speeds, but their(ISP's) ip address is shouting out to everyone, so i stick to the full mode, as i want both privacy and security simultaneously
