How to I hide my IP address as if I was using a vpn? I have done setup and everything looks like it is working but my IP address still shows my providers.

when I turn on vpn it changes.

how do I configure my mini to hide my address for downloading torrents? Is there a specific setup for torrents?

thanks

I don't use torrents, however the way it would work would be:

Under DPN, set it to a specific tunnel (usually a different country)
Or you can set under DPN > ROUTING > DOMAIN CONFIG you set the domain of the server or web address you are trying to reach to a specific tunnel

Try that, hope it works for you.

Thanks. That’s the way it is setup. The tunnel is working cause I can get bbc here in the USA but my IP address locally is still the one provided by my internet provider. So everything coming back from the upn connection is monitored by my provider.

when I use a vpn my local IP address of my computer is given a IP address of whatever computer I am connected to so it’s not traceable to my computer.

from what was provided in the literature I thought this would do the same thing. My old Winston udp did just the thing.

    thanks again

Island_Guy If you set your DPN to FULL ROUTE, then your IP address will be different, no matter where you connect, but like a VPN, connection will be slower as well.

Just double checking... your deeper is set between modem and router, right?

Yes it’s between the modem and router. I have it set to auto dpn and that’s working but when I check my ip it’s the one given by my internet provider. When I turned on vpn. It’s an different one supplied by the vpn which is in the country the server is in.

I am at a lose. Deeper customer service will not help with this as well.

Island_Guy Auto tries to its best to differentiate between what you want local, or through DPN. It is AI, and is not perfect. To make sure it goes through another tunnel, you either set the IP or Address of the site you want to use to use a different tunnel, OR you change from AUTO to a specific tunnel, but then, just like a VPN, you will probably get a slower connection than your own connection.
