DPN Smart Route not working on my mini , reveals my real ip address , i have to select DPN Full route mode to achieve privacy , please fix ,
aardvark i'm starting to wonder if it's intentional.
Same issue here, is this a bug? I have to force DPN Full Route as well, any direct or smart route rules are ignored. When will this be fixed?
Same here. And if I choose full route, the Direct Route List gets ignored.
Software Version: 1.1.1.rel
The same with 1.1.5.rel.
The same with 1.1.6.rel.
same issue on 1.1.6 rel
Same issue on 1.1.6.rel. DPN Smart Route is not working; it reveals my real IP Address. I need to switch to Full Route to achieve privacy. I have attempted to communicate with Deeper Tech Support multiple times, but I am not receiving a response. Please remedy the problem. Thank you!
mholy1983 I concur. I want to like the product and support the company, but according to @aardvark it appears this feature has been malfunctioning since 1.1.0.c8; we are now on 1.1.6.rel. It would be great if the company can remedy the issue. I want to heavily advocate for the product and company, but need to see it working. I can't advocate within my social networks without verifying a product works as advertised.
Same issue on 1.1.7.rel.
personally, I think they're no longer busy mined... what to work on security .
Temperature of CPU for 1.1.7.rel firmware version is 68 - 70 deg.C. For the previous firmware it was 58-60 deg.C. Significant raising. Be careful to upgrade.
1.1.7 The problem is the same.
In addition, after upgrading the 1.1.7 firmware, "Now is checking version" always appears, and then all the tunnels are disconnected
According to Tech Support, the DPN Engineering Team is actively working on this issue. Startups can commonly experience challenges during the growth / scaling phase, especially when they produce a product that receives demand and attention, so I suggest giving them some time.
I think I finally understood how it works. Full route will route all your traffic through the tunnel you chose.
Smart route will ONLY route the traffic you specify on the Routing > Domain config and Routing > IP config.
There you specify also which tunnel to use. The tunnel you select should be present on the Tunnel list and should have an IP AND the "Switch IP" blue button enabled (meaning it is available to be used as tunnel).
I am using a Mini with firmware 1.1.7rel.
Hi @m00nxaild. That would mean we need to create a full Routine Table for ALL domains we want to control for the benefit of obfuscating the local IP. According to both the DPN documentation and their demonstration video, Smart Route is intended to function with intelligence: recognizing the best path each time.
