Hi guys, I had a very similar issue and was able to reach a settlement. Deeper was not able to help a the time and promised they would build a solution that lets you prove that it wasn't you (or your household) who was engaged in the illegal download activity.
However, many EU countries do put you in a very defensive position and unless there is a reliable way of avoiding BT and other illegal downloads through your device, it'll remain a tricky situation. For now, I have sharing switched off altogether, which certainly isn't the idea of all this.
